How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your Lingotify account directly from the app or by contacting us via email.
Option 1: Delete from the App
- 1 Open the Lingotify app and go to Profile tab.
- 2 Tap on Settings (gear icon).
- 3 Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- 4 Confirm the deletion by following the on-screen instructions.
Option 2: Request via Email
Send an email to support@lingotify.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
Warning: This action is permanent
Once your account is deleted, you will lose access to all your data and this action cannot be undone.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed from our servers:
- Your profile information (name, email, profile picture)
- Your vocabulary progress and learning history
- Your custom vocabulary lists and packages
- Your playlists and liked songs
- Your quiz results and practice sessions
- Any AI-generated songs associated with your account
- Your subscription and payment history (retained only as required by law)
Data Retention
After account deletion:
- Most data is deleted immediately
- Some data may be retained in backups for up to 30 days
- Financial transaction records may be retained as required by law
- Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes
